Hi everybody! As many of you know my dad’s birthday is coming up. I am not sure my dad will like this sentence going public but: he is turning 47 years old. I thought I would write 47 things about him. So I have one request of everyone reading. My request is for the people who know my dad to add on to the list. If you can think of anything about my dad write it here. So without out further a due, 47 things about Ricky Ahuja! (Some bad some good☺)This is for you daddy.
- Daddy you are a kid at heart and you know it. No matter how old you get you will be an 11 year old on the inside. You literally (inside joke) like to do everything I like to do. Well everything except for putting make-up on.
- You have the ability to win anyone over with your wit. You make the best jokes that anyone could ever make. I don’t think anyone who has been in a room with you hasn’t laughed with you. You are a real people person!
- You were freakishly like me when you were my age. You thought the moon followed you everywhere you went. You thought it was one person who caused the traffic at the very front. You even thought that the colors of the lights on the two sides of the highway were a coincidence.
- You know so many of my favorite stars. You know who is singing on the radio. It scares me sometimes. You also start singing the song while we are driving. It is very entertaining. For me it is fun to watch and laugh at.
- You are so strong. You went through a back surgery that was very dangerous. You came back from that after a year of recovery and you are exactly like you were before. You had to change your way of living and you didn’t whine about it once.
- You have so much will power it’s inspirational. You had to give up your favorite foods and drinks, and you did it so well. You haven’t had soda in god knows how long. I don’t think I could have done that at all.
- You are a GREAT blogger. This blog that you are reading right now would not exist if it weren’t for you. My blogging gene comes from you. You are the one who started my blog in the first place.
- You are great at driving. You pick me up and drop me off at so many places and you are fine with it. I hope you know that I am so appreciative of that. Not many dads I know do that and I feel so lucky to have a dad that does.
- You hate the idea of letting me wear make-up. I love make-up but when I put a smidge of eye shadow or eye liner I never ever hear the end of it. The reason you don’t let me wear it is that you don’t want me to grow up. Well it seems that you’re the one growing up.
- You have the best food taste. You know exactly what I want. What you want! I love everything you eat. You have showed me so many amazing foods that I cannot name them all!!!!
- You have great taste in T.V shows as well. Like Bizarre Foods and Man vs. Food. Notice they all have the word food in it
- You like to be spontaneous like me. When we go somewhere I have no idea where we are going we just go. I like every second of where we go. You find the most amazing things for us to do and it amazes me how you never run out of ideas.
- You will not get me a dog which I am not happy about. Every time I ask you about one you keep quite. You know that I really want a dog. Well everyone reading this will help me get a dog now. Muhahahaha!!
- You love to play Just Dance. When I wasn’t looking one day you turned on Just Dance. I walked in the room I saw you dancing and dancing. Thankfully I got a video of you doing it and It is very fun to watch.
- You know how to have a very good time. You know how to have a fun time because we go to movies and dinners and go get ice cream all the time. I always, always have a great time anywhere we go.
- You are great with computers. Whenever I mess up a computer you well, first you get mad, but then you find a way to fix it. There is no computer you can’t fix. Not just computers but with T.Vs too.
- You are very good at math. When I need help with something in my homework you always know the best way to explain it to me. No matter what it is, after I talk to you I automatically understand it.
- You make the best Indian Coffee. I always ask for the coffee and you always make it and it is ALWAYS soooo good!!!!! I can never get enough of it. It’s a good thing it is decaf because if it wasn’t I would be bouncing off the walls.
- You have a good fashion sense. Whenever I can’t figure out what to wear you always help me choose. Whenever mom and I don’t agree you always pick whatever I want which I am truly thankful for.
- You have a great desire for adventure. When we went on vacation once we went scorpion hunting. You are the one who convinced me to do it. I had such a great time and if it weren’t for you I would have never got that experience.
- You never hold a grudge. Of course you get mad (a lot) but you never hold a grudge. You never stay mad for a long time. That is such a great quality of yours. It keeps you happy.
- You have an open mind. When there is an idea you don’t like, you do not automatically say no. You always take time to think of the most rational decision. You take time to make the decision that would be in everyone’s best interest.
- You make the funniest faces. You have these really funny faces that I love seeing. When you do these faces it makes everyone happier. You know how to make everyone happier which is amazing.
- You make me feel spoiled. Whenever I ask for something and I am really tired and had a very long day you make me feel like I am the only person alive on this earth.
- You always put others before yourself. You always make sure that if someone else needs something you put their needs before your own. Whenever we are on the streets of a town you always give money to the people who can’t afford even a cup of coffee.
- You are very good at everything you do but you do procrastinate. You wait a while to do things but you do everything so great.
- You love introducing me to new things. When we go walking and there is a thing I have never seen before you always make me try it and I have got so many cool experiences from that.
- You are a great husband. I have seen it. I think mama will agree with me as well. You always get her stuff when she needs it. You always love her no matter what happens. You are always so great at surprising her and me.
- You really know how to take a girl shopping. When we are going shopping at the grocery store and you don’t want to buy a certain thing I use my little girl wit to get you to buy it. So in a way I know how to take a dad shopping.
- You really like Hrithik Rotion the Indian actor. You love all of his movies and all of his songs. You have gotten me to love him as well. I have never told you but I think he is a really good actor as well.
- You also really like the Chicago Bears. The only reason you love them so much is because I was born in Chicago. Usually I tell you I don’t like them but I honestly do. I don’t tell you because sometimes I like testing you. ☺
- You always know the best jokes to tell me when I am feeling down. You always know how to make me laugh at any time of the day.
- You have the ability to read a very long blog without getting bored. This is one of my longest blogs and if you are still reading you aren’t bored. That is amazing. Maybe my blogs aren’t that bad.
- You are really good at playing billiards. When I always saw you and your friends playing billiards I always wanted to know how to play. One day you taught me and now I am pretty good. Still worse than you but good.
- You introduced me to my favorite show of all time. You introduced me to The Big Bang Theory. I absolutely love this show now. It is so funny and entertaining. Without you I wouldn’t have my favorite show.
- You always know what’s trending on the internet. Whenever I tell you something that’s going on online, I tell you thinking that you wouldn’t know but after I tell you seem to know already and give me more information. I guess that’s why you are called the #socialmediagod.
- You know how to put up with my movies. Every movie I have ever wanted to see you take me to. You put up with my kid movies. You take me to them even thought you don’t enjoy them at all.
- You like showing me cool tricks that you have learned over the years. I know so many things because of you but I really can’t say because a magician never reveals her secrets.
- You are great at putting up Christmas trees. This year you helped us put up the Christmas tree and I think it was the absolute best Christmas tree we have ever had in a long time. I am actually looking at it right now and it is beautiful.
- You are the best dad alive. You know how to be so amazing and comforting as a dad. You do everything for me. You help me with everything I need and you always have so much fun with me.
- You are really handsome. I always tell you that you aren’t but that is just having fun with you. I remember when I was little I used to say I wanted to marry you. The reason is you have all the qualities of prince charming.
- You always tuck me in at night. I always love when you do that because it makes me feel like a little girl again. You make sure to do it every night.
- You are very healthy. After your surgery you had no choice but to be healthy. After your recovery you had the choice to eat whatever you wanted but you didn’t. You really cared about being healthy. After you started being healthy the whole family started being healthy.
- You are so fun-loving. Everyone you talk to always ends up being very good friends with you. That is because of your very bubbly personality.
- You always make new food concoctions. We always mix foods together and they always taste so good. Like once we dipped a chicken nugget in ice cream and it tasted GRRRREAT!
- You have a deep voice when you are on the phone. Whenever you are talking business you talk really deep. Whenever you talk to me your voice is much less deep and is relaxed.
- Last of all, you are the greatest person a person could know. That’s how I wrote a 2,049 word blog without a problem.
